The Stork Hotel is a delightful 17th century country pub, which has recently undergone major refurbishment.

We offer a comfortable Bed & Breakfast, which is perfect if you're visiting Lancaster or just fancy a relaxing getaway!

Less than four miles from Lancaster city centre, the pub is surrounded by beautiful scenery, which is enjoyed by ramblers, bikers, walkers and cyclists.

Once you're done exploring the local area, it's then time to unwind in our warm and welcoming pub. In the winter months you will find roaring fires, and in the summer you can spend hours in our delightful gardens overlooking scenic views, whilst you enjoy some fabulous drinks and delicious food.

Our Rooms

We guarantee you a welcoming and comfortable stay near Lancaster!

There are nine en-suite rooms in total, comprising three comfort doubles, four standard doubles and two family & twin rooms.

All of our rooms are en-suite with showers, towels, bathmats, shower gel and hand wash.

Our rooms also include tea and coffee making facilities, a television, hairdryer and suitcase rack. Fans, irons and ironing boards are all available on request.

The room rate is inclusive of breakfast, which is served 7:00am-10:00am in our pub restaurant. A full breakfast menu is on offer as well as cereal, pastries and fruit.

You are welcome to check in to your room from 2:00pm on the day of your arrival and we politely ask that you check out by 11:00am on your day of departure.

Finding Us

By car

From the south, exit the M6 at Junction 33, continue on the A6 to Glasgate, then follow signs for Conder Green. Once you arrive at the forked Junction, turn right onto the A588 and you will see The Stork Hotel straight ahead.

From the north, follow the same route above to avoid Lancaster city centre. Alternatively, exit the M6 at Junction 34, continue on the A589 to Lancaster city centre, then A6 until you see sign for A588. Follow the A588 until you reach Conder Green, where The Stork Hotel will be on your right-hand side.

Our spacious car park allows you to park up with ease and is located in front of the pub. If this car park is full, there is a small overflow car park to the right of the pub, across the road.

By public transport

The nearest train station to The Stork Hotel is Lancaster. From here you can walk in to the city centre, to Common Garden Street bus stop and jump on the 89 bus towards Knott End on Sea. The journey takes around 15 minutes and the bus stop is located directly outside the pub.

Lancaster is full of history, with many attractions. Visit Lancaster Castle and Williamson's Park for splendid views across Morecambe Bay or wander the cobbled streets with their boutique shops.

The canal is just a short walk from The Stork Hotel. If you walk west, you will reach the end of the canal at Glasson Dock or head east for lovely views of the Bowland fells and plenty of stunning countryside.

Take a stroll along the promenade and admire the beautiful views across to the Lake District or visit The Midland, a famous, four star art-deco hotel.
